Tour Itinerary

  • Day 1. Arrival at Leh airport
  • Arrivals at Leh airport to be receive by a representative of Golden Eagle Expedition and transferred to the Hotel. Check in to the hotel and take a half day of rest. After lunch visit to Leh Market, Leh Palace and Shanti Stupa. O/N Le
  • Day 2. Leh to Lamayuru via Liker and Alchi
  • After breakfast drive to Likir monastery, Alchi temple & Lamayuru on the way there will be couple of stops for the picture like Sangam (The place Sangam is confluence of two big River Zanskar and Indus), Basgo Palace and beautiful Landscapes.
    Likir Monastery is situated approximately 52 kilometres in the west of Leh. It is beautifully situated on a little hill in the valley, in Likir village near the Indus River about 9.5 kilometres north of the Srinagar to Leh highway. In Monastery two features assembly halls known as Dukhangs and big statue of Maitreya Buddha. If you are lucky then you will find monks doing rituals along with drum beats.
    Alchi temple (It is one of the oldest temple in Ladakh built in 10th century by renowned Lo-tsa-wa Rinchen Zangpo. All the 32 artist who contributed building Alchi temple were Hindus brought from Kashmir.) Before visiting Monastery hot lunch will be served at Moon-Land Hotel. After the Lunch visit Lamayuru monastery (one of the oldest Monastery in central Ladakh). Overnight in Lamayuru
  • Day 3. Lamayuru to Leh via Risdong Gompa
  • In the morning after breakfast visit the mesmerizing Moon Landscapes and the Lamayuru Monastery, one of the oldest Monastery in central Ladakh. After visiting monastery drive to Rizong Gompa. Rizong gompa is situated 73 Kms away from Leh and 47 kms from Lamayuru, at the hill of the rocky side valley on the north side of the Indus.It was established in 1831 by Lama (monk) Tsultim Nima under the Gelukpa order, at Rizong. Sras Rinpoche is the Head of the Monastery. There are around 40 monks in the monastery. The Rizong Gompa is also called "the paradise for meditation" and is well-known for its extremely strict rules and standards.The nunnery, located about 2 km from the monastery, is called the "Jelichun Nunnery" or Chulichan (Chomoling), where, at present, 20 nuns reside.   • Day 4. Leh to Nubra Valley
  • Today after the breakfast drive to Nubra Valley via Khardungla (Highest Motorable road in the World, 18,380 ft). Arrive at Hunder by afternoon. Lunch at Resort, rest of the day one is free to explore Hunder Villages and camel Safari in Sand Dunes between Diskit and Hunder Village. O/N in Resort.
  • Day 5. Nubra Valley to Pangong Lake
  • In the morning after breakfast visit Diskit Monastery, where you can have a magnificent view of Diskit Valley and drive towards the mighty Pangong Lake (which is 40% in India and 60% in China) via Shyok route. O/N in Camp
  • Day 6. Pangong Lake to Leh
  • Early morning enjoy the beautiful view of Sun rise on lake. After Breakfast drive back to Leh, enroute visit Thiksey Monastery (One of the most beautiful Monastery in Ladakh popularly known as little Potala built in 1430 AD ). O/N Leh.
  • Day 7. Sightseeing in Leh
  • Spituk Monastery (Spituk Gompa) is one of the spectacular monasteries in Leh. The monastery is located on the hilltop near the Indus River and shares a distance of 8 kilometres from Leh.. The site of Spituk was blessed by the Arhat Nyimagung. It was founded by Od-de, the elder brother of Lha Lama Changchub Od when he came to Ladakh ( Maryul) in the 11th Century.
    Hemis monastery is 48 kms away from Leh and famous as the richest and the biggest monastery of Ladakh. It was built in 1630 AD and founded by the first incarnation of Stagsang Raspa who was invited to Ladakh by the king Singay Namgyal. This Hemis monastery belongs to Drukpa sect of Tibetan Buddhism)
    Stok Palace (The palace was built in 1825 by the king Tsespal Tondup. Around in 1834, the royal family was forced to flee to Stok palace when Zorawar Singh, the army general of Dogra king annexed Ladakh and ended the Kings rule of Ladakh. The royal family still lives at the palace. At present the palace museum has a collection of Royal dresses, Kings Crown, Ornaments and Jewels) and
  • Day 8. Tour End
  • Early morning after breakfast transfer to Leh airport to board flight back to destination. Journey ends with Sweet Memories of Ladakh.
  • Hotel, Resort, Camps and Guest House on twin share basis.
