Fotu La Pass
Fotu La Pass is a mountain pass on the Leh - Srinagar highway in the Himalayas Zanskar Range in India. At an altitude of 4,108 mt (13,478 ft), It is the highest point on the Leh-Srinagar highway.
Fotu La is one of two high mountain passes between Leh and Kargil, the other being Namika La pass, at an altitude of 3815 Mtrs (12516 ft). When one moves eastwards, the highway starts to slide down towards the Lamayuru, after one crosses the Fotu La. There is a station of Prasar Bharati television that serves Lamayuru located on the pass. The driving and riding through, Fotu La pass is a beautiful journey where you can stop and get an amazing view of the snow-clad mountain range pictures.
